well the title might be a bit missleading, but I decided to finish an
older sprite of mine, that was originaly intended for a weekly
competition ( the fighter sprite challenge) but I never realy finished
it. So I thought I'd finish it now. :)

she's a larger sprite of the character I used in this mockup:

I'm not to sure if the muscles on the legs are correct, and she's obviously missing her jacket and red "neckthing".
oh, and I changed the design of the gunblade.

Lookin' good so far The leg muscles seem to be fanning outward a bit too much ( http://www.medecine-et-sante.com/gimages/muscles-membrinf.jpg - here's a ref , so you can see what I mean), and this may just be a personal-taste thing, but I find that the outlines used for the definition of the leg muscles are a little harsh and make them stand out too much. The foot on our right might be a little too forward-facing, but I'm not sure. Looking forward to seeing this finished!

thanks for the feedback, MashPotato, the ref is indeed helpfull. and
you'r also right about the muscles, they seem a little harsh.
I'll adress these when I pixel with a tablet again, forgot my pen at work.
in the mean time, here's some mouse pixeling:

If I ever where to make that game, I'd make it on the PSP, with huge
sprites ;) will work on the mockup as well, currently it's more likea
bunch of floor tiles thrown all over the place... anyway, I have no
idea what the material is, she's walking on.

I love where its going but the platform does not match the sprite as good as it can be because it seems that the sprites color and definition is different from the platform. The UI is nice, nice.

you'r right Jal, the contrast of the floor was a bit low... so it
looked like as if the character is glowing. I increased the contrast of
the tiles, I think they tie together a lot better now.

more progress... blocked out an enemy... I like the head and the arms, but I'm not to sure if I like the rest of the body...

you know what that enemy reminds me of? those robots from megaman legends for the PSX. I love that style. the tiles are nice but he background (the tree and those rocks) seems a little flat

you'r right Murr, on the flatness, never played legends though.
I'll adress the flatness soon
here's some progress:

ditched the red floor... didn't realy like it...
oh, and there will be some platform on the other side... there won't be a dead void. ;)
