I was browsing randomly and stumbled across http://readymech.fwis.com/ - this. Then I thought, wouldn't a pixel version of this be great? We could build little pixel toy packs in a variety of sizes and make it a community collaboration. If someone wants to make a decent template, go ahead, I'll put it in this post for you. (An unfolded pixel template should be made, and to show off your unfolded template, a folded template). That may sound confusing but basically, you have a folded and unfolded version. The unfolded version would have to be able to be printed off and actually made into a little toy. Here's an example of an unmade and made.  The top is unmade and the bottom made. |

You mean we would pixel, then print and fold? We could also pixel, then map onto superlowpoly 3D models that are reconstructions of the paper ones. ------------- http://pixelmonkey.ensellitis.com">

My understanding was juts pixeling but I really am not sure. The description was a bit vague... Are we supposed to make a template for a folded flatpack or an unfolded version? Elaboration would be nice if this is to go anywhere. |

I think shadow mean make our own and have then as flats for printout like that site does except cool ones made with pixels.

I love making these things. We had a bunch of links in the OT thread with bots, anime girls and Nintendo characters.

They look great and I really think that there could be some cool and very creative ones made. EDIT: That and it helps get pixels off of the screen and into life... |

I like this idea. EDIT: Maybe they should be made smaller than what the final version will be, and then enlarged. They can be made at 1x then just printed at say, 4x?
