The base, I spent a while on, one night and I've already revised this pixel art many times with suggestions from other people and I'm feeling a bit upset that it has seemed my efforts have really amounted to nothing. This is not the only submission to be rejected to my gallery here. I'm starting to feel that there is no place for you here unless you're an elite pixel artist of some sort. I still feel that it's silly that submissions "that need to be revised" are rejected without any reasons to why it "needs to be revised". |

It can be a little discouraging, some stuff gets in that shouldn't and some stuff doesn't that should. But there's not much you can do about. Just get up, dust yourself off and try again. And if I was to take a wild guess as to 'why', I'd say because it was just another Sonic. Don't give up.  edit: I just looked at your gallery and it's empty. There's nothing there. My account on the gallery is [something witty] but that was too long for the forums... But I did delete stuff that needed revision anyway. No point in having them there if nobody can even see them. And if I was to take a wild guess as to 'why', I'd say because it was just another Sonic. If that's the reason, then I'll take my leave. I will not stay at a gallery that limits the subjects I can draw. |

What turned me off were the colours. They were a bit too dark and low-contrast for my taste. The hue-shifting also seemed strange to me. As a general rule, the darker colours tend towards purple (or that's what I follow). Hope you don't mind, but here's a quick palette edit:  Edit: Whoops, transparency. |

maybe if you actually read what people wrote in the comments, you could figure why it was rejected. from anatomy issues to a white bg. it may be discuouraging, if you wanna take it that way. also, fix yer link, witty. its not that people dislike sonics, marios or lil dudes, people dislikes poor attemps at sonics, marios, and well, the gorgerous lil dudes. http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/25582.htm discourage my ass. again, read the comments, fix, resubmit, and stop whinning arround. ------------- I ate leel's babies |

The first thing that jumped out at me was the shading on the mouth area--it makes it look beveled. You could do it more like this:

Elitism pushes everyone away. That's why it's bad. Surgery is putting your life in another person's hands, making pixel art is not. What a silly comparison. Good riddance? My attitude is really ugly? I'm sorry but I don't really appreciate nasty comments such as that one and the ones before it, and I'm sorry if I respond equally nasty to such. If you can't take it, don't dish it. |

I don't understand why this was rejected. Personally, I would let this through. In the future though, please start a thread in the WIP section and see what folks have to say. We're all here to help one another, even if it doesn't seem that way. Do not take a few comments as the whole site being elitist. ------------- |

A WIP is a Work In Progress, as in it's not 100% finished. Post there if you need helping finishing a piece, or if your piece was rejected to see why people might have rejected it. And see, told ya, stick around.  ------------- "pwnage comes with patience, practice and planning." ~ Jalonso
