Yet again I decided to enter the contest. Here's my WIP: Small edit           Any tips? (yes the things on the floor are his sword and shield.. he dropped them because he's flabbergasted) |

Okay, I've got a couple of quick suggestions- first, well done on the light source. It's believable and gives a sense of danger to the piece. Now, onto the fun part of C+C, the critical appraisal- First off, it's imporant to know the general structure of the character- despite the clearly stylised nature of the character- and good job for that, you've pulled it off mostly- the head, which appears to be some combination of a watermelon and pumpkin, probably should have some shading on it. The light from the front would probably cause the contour lines to be thicker, or for the light to spread a bit more enthusiastically. Second, the expression needs to be hammered out. Is he just scared out of his wits or is he TERRIFIED THAT HE WILL BE PUREE'D ANY SECOND NOW!!!!!!!!? Put some real fear into those eyes. It's a comical peice, unless i've terribly misread it- make it comical! Get some exaggeration going! Make him fatter, or thinner, but go a couple steps too far in either direction. Probably fatter, by the head. Make the expression way over the top- put the eyes much larger, get the body reacting a bit more (either give him some body language or make his current stance more tense). Anyway, good luck! |

| Gah. Sorry for the misconception of his vegetable- just for fun, maybe you could bring in the layered nature of onions, or have his eyes watering, or something. Anyway, have some fun with it. It looks promising. |

Start of day WIP. Added some dithering to his head. Onions aren't that shiny. Let me know what you think.. Edit: Added some outlining.. which is better? |

Made some additional chagned to the armor. Kept the dithering in his face tho. Edit: But it looks like he has boobs.. |
