Yup.

Tubular limbs, arms with no bones, legs with no knees, no neck, tiny feet with no ankles, rectangular torso, no hips or waist, no face, pointy shoulders. You really need to do some basic anatomy studies, and build from the bone structure up.

WHAPAM! That outta knock some crits into ya Twizzler....
Anywho i agree that u neeed to develop more of a structure to the guy, even cartoony pixels have structure so id recomend either gooogling some anatomy tutorials online or scope out some tutorials on the main pixel joint page...but yeah, other than that, you should be on you way once you've fixed those things...

Edit: Just realized how pointless it was to quote this considering this post is the exact corresponding one...*sigh* oh well its going in my siggy...

Hatch you sadistic bastard...
But I do agree with him in that you should change the anatomy to look more natural. Maybe even do him from and angle or in some kind of pose ;]

Here is an example of what Hatch means. Also my take on it (ignore the bug):
- try experimenting with different palettes. Your colors are too similar to one another.
- you should find a light source.
- anti-aliasing will help in clearing rough edges.
Don't let our advice discourage you, it will pay off in the long run, trust me. They are all here to help you grow as an artist, not as an enemy. A little C&C never hurts.

Yeah. I was not trying to be sadistic or "pwn" anybody. I may have been a bit brutally honest. I hope I haven't scared you off, Twizzler.

Easy SolidPixel, don't send him to the Dragon's Lair when he hasn't learned how to carry a sword yet.

its ok, you didn't scary me off.  i've been working on it off and on for the past couple days.  i've been really busy with band and homework.  i think i'll post a new version this weekend.

one thing i forgot to do is describe our uniforms.  i don't have any good pictures right now so ill just use words: ).
first of all our uniforms are mainly white and orange.  we wear white trousers that go up to about the elboes.  the orange top we wear is cut at an angle and has a sparkly strip at the end.  the pants are pulled tight and are straight.  Finally, the helmet covers the eyes.  i don't know if that helps at all .  I'll try to get a picture up as soon as possible.
