2 pixels rejected. its getting very annoying. Trying to be friendly. How the heckski was my avvie rejected? GAHHHHHH. same with my lildude. I get so angry. care to explain WHY? |

The Lil'Dude project is no longer accepting submissions for the most part. Exceptions are made when a Lil'Dude is of exceptional quality in originality and/or animation. Your L'il Dude is well made and is not rejected for pixelling quality or even originality. Its more likely the case that a similar Lil'Dude is already part of the project, or too similar to another. Your avvy is lacking definition and just needs touches. Thro a WIP for it. The simpler the pixels the smarter you must be in the color choices and placement. You are trying to fit in, you have been trying to learn. We notice and admire you for it. You must have patience and continue to improve. Rejections are temporary as you will be improving. No need to feel down though I know it sucks. It is not personal. If anything here is personal against you you report to me immediately. Now go pixel more : ) EDIT: The room you made last summer is really cute but has many flaws that by now you should know how to fix and polish up. That may have to be sent back because you say yourself you don't care. If so, why should we. See. Fix these 3 pixels, ya lazy bum. ------------- |

I understand your frustration, but realize that the Lil Dudes project has been going on for a long time, and things that were accepted then may not be accepted now. On another note, looking at the preview picture, your pixel was not following the Lil Dude palette guidelines anyway (transparency is not included). I doubt I would be able to get a Lil Dude accepted either--it's nothing personal

Hey I made over http://pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5273 - 200+ lil dudes (if you care to count that last picture ) not one of them was accepted. Removed it from your gallery :) Now please relax and lets move to fixing your avatar. You have 4 colors in the face anole and none stand out. The hair is outlined but nothing else is. You used a lovely font but you did not make that font manually. You have over 8 pinks (?) and there are all extremely similar. We never send back because of the way something looks, only how they were created. ------------- |

Your avvy is simple and cute and should be. He wasn't criticizing the style. He even made it a point to clarify that he wasn't criticizing the style. He was referring to pixel art technique. You have wasted colors, inconsistent outlines, and low contrast. None of this has anything to do with your style. It's pure technical criticism and it's nothing to be embarrassed or defensive about, as we've all made the same mistakes. ------------- |

If you can't distinguish between critique and insults you're going to be very unhappy here, or at any art forum. ------ well I'm alreadt getting annoyed. I dont know what your problem is, but everyone on my website loves my pixels, and they cant find everything wrong with it. Me neither. I dont know what you guys are talking about. I know its not on the level of the others, nut its still good, and you telling me otherwise is making me second guess myself.
