Hi my name is Thomas and I've just started work on a new game written in java called Callidus together with another coder, a sound programmer and an artists. I'm currently studying Math at a University here in Denmark and needed a project besides studies. We've run into a problem since our artist had to focus on his studies for a while and therefore we need someone else who wants to show off his skills in pixel art and/or animation.
Basically we'r trying to create a small action/arcade game with RPG elements that can be played on a single computer by multiple players (up to 4 is the plan).
You'll need standard java on you computer to try out the game:

You probably have this on your computer allready but if not, then it pretty much installs itself if you follow the link above.
Here is the jar file for the game. You run it as you would an exe file in windows(double clicking on it). Linux: Open the terminal and go to the callidus folder. Then type:" java -jar Callidus.jar" :

The reason why we write in java is because java applications easily run from webpages and even on some mobile phones.
Since our artist has been gone we just rippped old games for temporary graphic. Mainly the old "Secret Of Mana" sprites from the SNES system has been put to use.
Even if you just want to contribute a little. Like make a neat background or just draw the sprites for a single monster, we'll make sure your name will be mentioned in the credits ;)
If you'r interested please add me to your messenger thomasph@sol.dk. I'll tell you everything you want to know about this game and I'm open for suggestions as well. If you have any ideas for changes or such, feel free to tell me. You can PM me too but writing on messenger will probably be faster.
  Thank you for reading
