Since I have the software might as well use it I guess, but for animations how does it work?

I tried to import 4 images to make 1 animation but coudn't figure out how.
or do you need Photoshop layers to do an animation?

if you know how it works please share your wisdom!

Imageready is a companion to Photoshop.  You need to make each frame a layer, then go from there.
