I saw the weekly challenge and I havn't drawn or done anything artistic for fun in a while so I thought I would try this challenge out. I have difficulty getting my ideas to look right on paper and computer. I would like crits on the phone and not the background as the background is not important. Any help is appreciated.  |

I plan on having it open up (where there is a little crack on the side). Then either it will have teeth and maybe chomp or something OR lots of telephone wires will come out of it and cover most of the table and then come towards the viewer (might be quite challenging perspective wise because the wires will get bigger and bigger as they get nearer the viewer) Any tips on the buttons? I tried to make them look like buttons but I couldn't get them to extrude enough from the phone base. |

I'm not very familiar with iso, but I can tell you at least that the buttons need some highlighting to make them pop out more. I like the idea of wires coming out and attacking the viewer. Sounds very exciting! And if it's a challenge for you, then you'll learn something, too. |

I have tried making bigger buttons with highlights. I am not too sure if this is better or worse than the previous buttons. Also I change the holder that the receiver would rest on. I want to get the phone looking good first before I start animating it. Heres a quick update:  |

I think get rid of the darkest shade on the buttons might make it look better.
If you do have it consume the table, and then possibly the whole panel...thing, which would be flippin' AWESOME... I'd suggest it going to black after eating the screen and then kind of dithering out at random, so the phone reappears from the black.

Edit: Is the table made of wood? I'd look at a wood table (if you have one, if not image search one) and study it. :) ------------- Gremlins rule the world; you just don't know it yet. |

Small edit here and there, too lazy to explain what I exactly did (changed highlights on the telephone, aa on the cable of the telephone, and some other things)> EDIT: ooh you have to remove the background, it should be trans for the challenge! ------------- |
