please tell me what is wrong with Leaf. Also, list all your "quality standards" (by diagram if necessary for some). so your critique be constructive indeed, and so i know what to post on this forum! ...  |

listen. The quality standards are just the things that can be described by words. After you pass the standards it all comes down to how good your piece is. The only reason your piece was rejected if you abide by the rules is that it wasn't good enough. end of story. Its probably not the first time someone told you this, you are not the only person to get his work rejected. So instead of trying to follow the standards, try to improve your artwork.

Yes, it's difficult to explain what makes a piece good enough for the gallery. When you're new to pixel art and/or Pixel Joint, it's usually a good a good idea to lurk around a bit and observe what goes into the gallery. That should give you a pretty good idea of the quality we're looking for, I think.

Adding on to Blueberry_Pie:
Look for the more recent peices, from 07-08. This is because the quality standard was lower in the younger years of PixelJoint.
