4423 colors is a bit many, especially when you have a canvas this size. You use one color, on average, for 1.88 pixels of this image.

You can make the little...circular thing look 3D again with the colors you have. Err, that is to say that I would suggest doing that. :-D

Hmm i think this may have been a too extreme change. The loss of the greys has made it very monochrome and it's hard to tell a form as easily as before. I'd suggest fine tuning it now, not only the colours but also since you lowered the colours using a program there're alot of spare pixels floating around where they shouldnt be that you may want to address.
May i ask how the image had such a large number of colours in the first place?
Anyway, i really like the design. Keep it up.

@larwick: I actually started making this in a new graphics design tool beta so perhaps that had something to do with the high number of colors. My guess is that it may be changing the color dropper information. Anyway, I went back to photoshop and graphicsgale. Problem solved.
The requirement on this image was it had to be under 216 colors. Since its met that I will likely do no further work unless artistic criticism is raised. I have to do about 40 of these so criticism and feedback has been appreciated. Better to start off correctly than end up with garbage. Thank you.
