Today is a very sad day for me... after a few back and forths it was clear that "truth" would have to be the first member banned from this forum. I honestly am not happy about it at all. There's a lot of members here that have had some pretty good spats with people getting their feelings hurt, but that's OK as long as it can be worked out. Some misundertandings are to be expected on any forum. Unfortunately, I just couldn't see any positive outcome when dealing with "truth". He pissed off a lot of people (including me) in a short amount of time and repeated attempts to reason with him seemed to just make the situation worse. I don't take banning a member lightly and I hope you all understand our perspective. If you feel we've been too hasty or are just plain wrong please read through truth's posts and post your thoughts here. This forum is supposed to be fun!!! |

As I said before, I'm just glad we took care of the situation promptly and efficiently as we did. This could've gone on for months with a lesser leader. Sad that he had to name himself "Truth" ... such an irony. The truth was he wasn't truthful enough with himself to see the error of his ways. And so we move onwards. ------------- |

Shark, you can ban there IP address. Thats probobly what sedge did. I am gald you did. He was a pain in my you know what. ------------- For every second spent wondering if you can do something, you could spend 2 seconds doing it. |

There ARE ways to get around an IP ban, aren't there? Like... change your IP address? I'm probably completely wrong, but meh. The only thing that saddens me about his being banned is that I never got to throw my two cents' worth of screaming at him. He was just a dude with very strong moral and social opinions and an issue or two that had to do with control. Banning him was probably the right thing to do, PJ is not a place to whine about your ideals or stab those of others, but a fun time happy place of magical fairy-like joy, peace, and.. wait, nevermind. I, like Luke, do not agree with banning someone unless it absolutely
calls for it. Such as illegal activity, threatening, or blatent
hostility. Usually in my forums it could be rectified very
quickly and no banning would be needed, usually it turned out to be a
misunderstanding or a lapse of thinking. However, after reading all of the posts by "truth," it was pointed out to him several times that he basically needs to sit back, relax, and think before you type. But he still continued with his lies and his hostility. So even though banning is a last resort thing to me, this banning was completely justified. Perhaps after some time, he could be re-invited to join the forum, but on a probationary status, "one strike and your out" kind of thing. But I doubt even that would cause anything to be different from this time. Good judgment call, Luke.  ------------- There's a pubic hair on my keyboard. What the f**k?? unless you move or go to a different computer. You can mask it or

only cable user tend to keep the same IP address, mine changes every time I rest my DSL modem or reconnect. Dial ups pretty much the same. I missed what he (truth) did -------------  got game?

Ensellitis: Haha, I figured I was wrong, somehow. In messing around with trying to get ye ole damn Xbox hooked up wireless, I found a way to change my computer's IP. Apparently that's not the same thing. Shark: its a bunch less fun to yell when he prolly won't see it for a long time, plus it would be kinda awkward. And the guy was really beyond reasoning. I doubt he'll try to come back, he came here with no wholesome purpose, banning him will not have phased the guy at all. He'll probably continue rampaging about unfortunate forums everywhere. OH my GOD thank you. The only post I saw from him was the community
totem pole post where he arrogantly accused so-lou of using filters.
That really pissed me off. Then I went and searched his name and found
all kinds of posts by him. Oh my god.. that guy is the most negative
serious person ever. I wonder if he has any real life friends. It
seemed like every single post he made, he either insulted someone, had
very malicious opinions, or had a very negative thing to say.. god he
like really needs to lighten up. Why is it that pixeljoint always
attracts the most dramatic negative people. (no offence saiklor) But truth was just so damn annoying. And he kept on babbling about murders and criminals and stuff. God.. what a prude. People need to LIGHTEN UP around these parts, we all suffer enough negatism throughout school/work and when we come home we dont want to argue and be badgered on the internet. We come to PJ to learn and have fun. I'm glad truth was banned.. he didn't help the community in any way at all. ------------- |

I would take it as a compliment, btw filters are an effect in photoshop
u can use to make stuff look different, he was a bit of an idiot he did start one topic in community collabs but he was the only one to reply to himself
