What is Abscure?
Abscure is an independant game group headed by Ethan. Our previous projects include a FPS (formerly called Assault). We have currently put on hold some other projects to work on this one.
You can come visit us/see our progress on other games/etc at the Abscure website, www.abscure.net.
The name of the game is Samsara. The game provides a combination of mythological creatures, futuristic technology, and interesting plot twists to keep the action going. Our current plan for the battle system is based on both the Shin Megami Tensei 'Press Turn' combat, and the button-based combat of games such as Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. Basically, pull off certain moves, combos, etc, using the buttons on your keyboard, and get an extra turn (one per customer).
The game is being made in Game Maker.

Current People working on Samsara:
Tarenken/Seika: Tarenken is an 'experienced' spriter, she is not the best but nonetheless has much experience in the field (4 years and counting). She cannot animate long animations smoothly, and thus will be making the mugshots and still basic battle sprites for the game, which can be fixed up by any other pixelartist on the team, even without Tarenken's consent. She also has come up with the plot, characters, concept art, and most of the system ideas for the game, and is therefore considered the project head. She can be contacted at kyriaki@earthlink.net (MSN/Windows Messenger), Wingrox (AIM) or masquerainmistress@gmail.com (email).

Ethan: Ethan is the head of Abscure, and excells in getting continued interest in projects going. He also composes music for our games, and provides Tarenken with outline bases to work from, although he is not an adequate enough pixelartist to get his works in the final game. Ethan works on advertising and promoting Abscure. He can be contacted by MSN (pyre734@hotmail.com), AIM (esaf718), or email (esaf718@gmail.com)
Ethan- Epci Fali says:
joint= place, not like blunt, right?

Joe/Sunstroke: Joe is our game's primary coder, who makes our ideas happen. Without him, this project would be mush. (my compensation for putting you last, Joe. ;) ) He can be reached by AIM (Joegrin711), MSN and Email (grinnyj@hotmail.com).

Lucas Irineu: Lucas is one of the game's animators. He also makes outlines for some of the game's sprites. He can be reached at lucas_irineu@hotmail.com (MSN, most likely his email too)

For now the project is not paid. Ethan and I are trying to arrange something, and you will most likely be paid on a sprite to sprite basis. Fixing up a sprite made by Tarenken/another spriter would be the least amount, while a background/long animation with effect would be the most.

We are currently looking for:
Spriters to fix up Tarenken's work. Knowledge of anatomy and color is required.
Background spriters for battles. Must be able to sprite/somehow turn a background diagonally while retaining a horizontal canvas.
Tilers. People who can make nice-looking tiles.
Animators. People who are able to animate small sprites walking, attacking, etc.
Any other spriter similar to Tarenken.

If you are interested, please contact me or one of the other two people on the list. Thanks!
