Hello. I’m Frank and I’m Dutch game developer. I used to work for a gaming company, but missed studying a lot (and hanging out during weeknights ) so I enrolled myself in another study.

However, I still like developing games. My current untitled (solo) project is for mobile phones and it is in alpha version, almost in beta version.

What is the game about?
The game has been inspired by Centurion, Defender of the Crown, Castles, Lords of the Realms and the Total War series. As a player you aim to conquer the whole of France (the 100 year's war, British invasion of France) and be crowned king. In a province one can construct buildings, such as barracks, archery ranges, mines, etc. With these, one can construct armies and train generals. Generals improve during battles gaining charisma, strength, etc. Taxes, rebelling provinces and diplomacy are also included in the game. The landmap part of the game is turn based, the battles are real time. Whenever you try to give orders during a battle the game will pause.

How far is it?
About 80% finished, closing on beta version.
Alpha version is finished, with all main features working. Faction differences are unbalanced, the cpu is sometimes not smart enough to my liking, economy's income and outcome needs balancing, the campaign needs to be precisely configurated, with gameplay texts, and a user-tutorial needs to be constructed.
Animations: I drew some of the animations myself and I stole the rest. So, everything has to be redone.

Payment?
There is no payment yet involved, but if I ever sell the game than you'll get your share, of course.

I created a photo album for some screenshots and movies. The landmap in the album is outdated, I just created a new one, of France (and the south of England). The game is about the 100 Years’ War (Englands invasion of France, a vendetta between Bourgondy, Valois, Plantagenet, Brittany, Aragon and Aquitaine.)

Screenshots and movies! (with the earlier map and setting)

Although the album shows pictures on 200%, they are 180x180 (and that’s just a phone I choose, the game zooms in or out according to the screen size). Sprites are always 16x16 pixels, only the game map is larger (380x372).

So, what needs drawing? (Notice that I have everything already in ugly form)

-   Unit sprites: (Swordsmen, Archers, Knights) 16x16. The units upgrade, but that is just shown with small stars on top of the sprite.
o   4 directions standing
o   4 directions walking x2. (standing - left foot – standing - right foot…)
o   4 directions fighting x2. (standing – fighting1 – standing – fighting2, or maybe just one fighting).

-   7 Flags (or shields) showing the owner of a country on the map (also neutral faction). 16x16.

-   7 Army icons for on the map. 16x16.

-   10x2 buildings (finished and under construction). 16x16 and some 32x16.

-   4 roads tiles and a grass tile. 16x16.

-   3 towns - Village, Town, City for on the map (if you construct buildings it will show  on the map) 16x16.

-   Button icons. The menu buttons, arrows, hour glass, coin, offence icon, defence icon, etc. 16x16 and some 10x10.

-   1 pointer. 16x16

-   5 general images (portraits of a army general). 32x32.

-   The map. 380x372. It contains rivers and mountains (rivers in provinces allow farms, mountains allow mines).

I hope someone is interested. You don't have to do the whole thing, a couple of images is fine too, than I'll try to find others to do the rest.
