So I am making this pro game and I'd love to have some partners. I've been making my first character: Bear (haven't got a name yet) and I find it really difficult to make the paws. I think they should be simple cause they are going to be animated.

I think the dithering isn't needed but I'm using a small amount of colors, so please someone explain me the basics!

Hmmm...
Most of this guy look suspiciously Ursaring.
 
(took me at least ten minutes to find out he name of that pokemon, so don't laugh at me)

most of the shading in the exact same spot. Except without the dithering.

Dithering is usually can be bad. But sometimes it can be used well...and I find in most of the pokemon sprites that it's used amazingly. Study them.
But don't RIP them.

Also check out how they did their outlines. Study them.

Ye I love it too. I'm telling you it's a hard wip i just like the pose, everything is going to change, but I need advice at the paws.
