It seems like it's crammed into the canvas. Spines and stuff would be scary, but I'd get his pose down first, he looks awkward.

You didn't fix anything in the update. The shading doesn't work, or whatever it is, there's nowhere near enough contrast between the colors.

Center the fishthing. It's pushed all the way to the left side of the canvas, and that's causing a lot of tension. Your colors could use a little more contrast, a brighter highlight would be especially helpful. ------------- |
