We are looking for a talented pixel artist to produce buildings and terrain assets for an upcoming game prototype. Want to work on a game that is fun but based on real science? Get in touch! :)
1. Company Info: Red Redemption Ltd. We are a games company that focus exclusively on socially conscious games and games with strong learning themes. 2. Job Info: We are looking for a pixel artist to develop a number of pixel art assets (buildings, terrain, people and cars) for an upcoming prototype. The game in development is the next in the series of sustainability related games but has a different target audience to our previous more serious previous work (Climate Challenge) and we are looking for a more cutesy look with the buildings - exaggerated colours, curves and somewhat more cartoony (target age range for the game is 12-16). This game emphasises the fun side more than the serious side. We are working on a 256 colour palette (PCX files) with x/y dimensions being 32px, 64px, 128px, 256px, so the images are diametric rather than isometric. We will currently be commissioning a subset of the art required for the game. Please note: The timescales are short for this and we are looking for an immediate start. We would want each asset delivered as it is completed rather than in bulk. A full brief will be provided on commission. 3. Pay/Rates: We will be paying for this art and are more than happy to discuss rates per piece or an overall price etc. This project may lead on to a permanent position should the game be commissioned. Art credits will be given. 4. Email Address: Gobion Rowlands gobion [at] red-redemption.com Please include a link to samples of your work. 5. Company Website: http://www.red-redemption.com - http://www.red-redemption.com and http://makesyouthink.net - http://makesyouthink.net 6. Previous Projects: A number of award-winning games Climate Challenge, Operation: Climate Control, Trouble Shooter (See makesyouthink.net to play), Steel Law Online
If that sounds good, get in touch :)
