Hey Pixeljoint~

So after a comment on my recent Evangelion sprites submission I got this really stupid idea in my head - make a gif animation that sums up a fair amount of End of Evangelion all in sprites without any text and such, all in pseudo-NES glory.

So I got busy today spriting some more characters and animations that I could use and this is where I've gotten to at this point:

The two that may not be recognizable to people who know the series/movie: the blue guy is a JSDFS army guy and the little green thing which REALLY needs better colors is one of the little gunships that shoots at Unit 2 before the big Eva fight.

And a few animations:
Gunship shooting (again, i HAVE to improve these colors..):

Unit 2 getting hit with their worthless guns:

here's the palette I'm using:

Current scene plans:
- [no decent intro scene thought of yet]
- Army folks invading Nerv Headquarters
- Misato saving Shinji then pulling him around
- Unit 2's battle (which will NOOOOOOT be done as epically as the movie)
- Begining of Instrumentality
- People bursting into LCL
- Shinij rejecting instrumentality
- Shinji and Asuka on the beach

I dont plan on it taking it too seriously (Like having the epic Eva battle being a rather simple NES-game-esc scene), and the lack of dialog will obviously impact how things are portrayed.

So what does Pixeljoint think? Worth while endevor? Sprites looking at least moderately decent? Let me know

well, the readbility of characters is truly great, and every one of them is really detailed for the small space you set for yourself. what i do see, and you could take this as a idea, is to work with the platform of knytt adventures. i do believe it would have way more flexibility than a gif image that "might" get too limited for the time being.
the project is indeed long, and has a lot of ambitions. but i can asure you is totally worth going fo it if you really trust in your skill and patience to finish it.
