i was wondering if the circle tool in graphicsgale is suitable for circles. i've tried using it a little, but they (the circles) seem to be a little irregular and asymmetrical. do they even out more with bigger circles, or is the circle tool no good? i'd draw my own circles by hand, but to be honest, i don't entirely know how. a little help, please?

They're mathematically correct but they tend to look ugly, especially when they're very small. It's best to refine them by hand later on, I find.

Circle tool is not that good.
Still I use it, and then modify it until circles are just how I want them, but often you need AA to make them look smooth after you have removed jags.

Circle tool may be used but the best circles are always handmade for some reason :/

Use them to get as close as possible then mirror them with 8 way symmetry.

Ellipses should be done with the circle tool or they look terrible. Many people don't use this tool for constructing ellpises and they get odd cat eye shapes which are out of perspective and wrong.
