Hey guys!

I was wondering how everyone chooses colors for their pieces. My background in pixel art has always been game based so I was used to having a limited palette and taking screenshots of Snes games on emulators and then using the eyedropper tool. Now I'm moving onto actual non game art and have no clue on how to pick color.

Thanks a lot!

Well, if you do one of our many challenges, then the colors are chosen for you. (Check out the collab/challenge thread all the way at the top of the forum.)

Otherwise I just start randomly placing pixels down until I see a pattern. Then I take some colors away, add some colors to match, etc...
