"Revision required for Midorea Doll Base ../pixels/submit_icons.asp?id=39822 - " http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/39822.htm - http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/39822.htm Are doll bases not allowed? Because I was originally not going to submit this piece because I wasn't sure.. and then I found a few doll bases in the gallery so I thought it would be fine.
Why does this piece not meet your quality standards? Thanks,

could you provide a link to the image itself so we can see for the few of us that missed it?
PS: althoug i believe whats the issue here. i'd rather say, for the next time, thet you could submit one, single piece with all these elements AND the base, instead of splitting them into several displays wich not only draw people's attention away from the whole set but at times it makes no sense(like in the cat picture).
that, and by checking the rest of your pieces, the high, unnecesary, color count is a huge factor.

But that's not the point. I'm not submitting a doll, I'm submitting that certain piece. Personally, I think it would detract from each individual element if I put them altogether on one piece.
Since each piece is done individually by itself, it would therefore make sense to submit them individually, would it not?

Catghost, if things belong to a serie it is easiest to view all of 'm
at the same time if all stuf is in the same image. However, I think
that whats in your gallery is fine now.
About the doll, quality standards are set by the opinion of the voting
members and the mods. I would have voted a no for this if I had seen it
on time, because of the non matching eyes, and the lack of contrast.
This thing shows a lot of effort, but sadly not much true quality or
originality.
And if the members vote no, it is a no sadly :(
However, if you post this into the WIP forum we might be able to help
you on coloring this the way that it WILL get accepted in the gallery :)

there is nothing to improve, and i do agree that most of the time the queqe makes no sense at all. some works that shouldn't have a problem are rejected, and some that shouldn't are allowed(refering to your centaur piece, ironically). but thats the one of the risk of leaving that to an open votation.
resubmit it, i'm sure it would be accepted this time. i would allow it in.
