I am new here, but I tried to submit a couple things to the gallery, one of them was denied for the following reason:

"REASON: Any art you post should be PIXEL ART! Pixel art implies that each pixel is placed by hand (no filters, paintbrushes, gradient fills, etc).

This is not to say you cannot resubmit the piece in the future after revising it. We encourage you to participate in our http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/ - forums which include a Work in Progress (WIP) category. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and feedback for your pixel pieces before submitting them for approval on the main site.

If you feel this is a mistake please post a FRIENDLY message in the Resources/Support section of the forum and we'd be happy to discuss it with you. Responses to this issue within the gallery site will be ignored."

Really?

You tell me:

what? it doesen't sound as a question, nor I can read the question.
I *think* that the whole point is:
can you prove you did place every single pixel that creates a palette of 254 colors?

This thing often happens here at PJ and your problem is a file format issue when saving your file.
You are saving in PNG24 instead of PNG8. The easy way to fix this is to save as gif.

If you use photoshop to pixel and have not set up your prefs to pixel this will also generate the added artifacts.

If you need help then state your program and anything else that may be helpful.

What? No standard PNG image type ever generates any artefacts at all, it is completely lossless. There is a facility for supporting embedded lossy JPEG image, but no-one seems to use it (and the amount of support for it is .. quite small).

Unless you're talking about some technical thing where Pixeljoint uploading software doesn't know how to deal with 24bit PNGs. However I've submitted 24bit PNGs in the past, and I think some of my gallery still includes 24bit PNGs.
