Hello worshipers of the pixel!

I just had this idea to create a simple program which focuses on making animated sprites with basic functionality, the idea is that you have a set of frames which you paint on (oh wow right?) but the thing is that these frames are animated in realtime as you do the changes(on the side, not the canvas), Is there another program already does this?, I don't want to waste my time making something that already exist. :P

I figure some of you pixel-gods out there are raising some eyebrows right now but I really think this functionallity would be a great help creating the proper flow in animated sprites, atleast for us newbies.

What do you think?

Any proper animation program does this. For example I use graphicsgale, and yes it enables me to see the animation animating while working on it. Even in different zoom levels! Also, if you would want to focus on a animation program, and want to make it pleasurable to work with, you automatically are going to add features that are useful in non animation stuff too. So I do not see the profit of making an animation only program.

But no, this is not really an original idea, if I understand you right :)

I see, GraphicsGale does seems to do what I had in mind.

Saved me some time, but also took a fun project from my list of things to do :P.

Thanks for the response.
