Greetings!
I'm the proprietor of http://opengameart.org - OpenGameArt.org , which is a site that is intended to provide free, legal game art for use in free/open source video games.
I'm
currently in the process of putting together a web application that
will allow people to assemble game sprites using a combination of
sprite bases and accessories (eyes, hair, clothing, etc). I'd like to
commission a set of 32x64 sprites, starting with a male and female base
and some basic eyes, clothes, and hairstyles, and work from there.
I'll be looking for roughly 30 frames per sprite (3 walking and 3
attack frames per direction, plus a few more special emotes, to be
determined). I'd like to get 8 or 16 tone greyscale so that the images
can be recolored easily.
I can pay US$15-25 per hour, to a
maximum of $100-$150 total per month. My monthly budget is limited, so
please be understanding of the fact that this project may take multiple
months to complete.
Please note that the condition of this job
is that the art be released under the license(s) of my choice (these
are negotiable, but will include, at minimum, CC-BY-SA and the GPL
versions 2 & 3 -- I will not ask anyone to release their art under
the Public Domain or any other license that might allow the work to go
uncredited).
