This is probably a tarded question but how do you you go about turning off the anti-aliasing when you fill a path in photoshop?

I'm all new to sprite creation so excuse me if I ask stupid questions.

Thanks man. I'm actually not new to photoshop it's just I have my routine and never notice those little important features.

this is why I asked. As you can see step one is the pencil work. 2 is smoothed and cleaned up, because of the path conversion. 3 turns it back to it's aliased self.

Paths are auto AAd by default. Using paths for pixelart is not recommened.
However, you can make a path then 'make selection' upon hitting that you get a dialog box and one of the options is the AA which you need to set to '0'. Again, this is not cool in pixelart but can be done.

I suggest you make a new 'workspace' called pixelart and have all the setting for PA in that. Another 'workspace' is for general Photoshop usage.

Do you mean not cool in the since that it doesn't look like pixel art or not cool in the terms that it will cause problems as an asset? Because I am working on a game and I don't want to cause any bugs.

I like the style of pixel art, but it's just not my style (yet) As you can see by this image. It's a WIP so with hold your judgment for a while. Unless you see something that is technically wrong for a graphic asset.

Believe it or not I did this all in a day. This is my first sprite project.

Well, you didn't explain that and since this is a pixelart site and forum I just assumed you were trying to covert or make your vector art into pixelart.
Your work is nice looking. Should I move this thread to the WIP section for feedback from others NPA is fine here too?
As for technical game specs I would suggest a more technical place like AGS or gamedev.

thanks jalonso. I'll check out those recommendations. I think I should've consulted my team before I started posting images here.  I'm sure it's cool though.

The only problem with doing all of this stuff in one day is none of my team members have seen anything yet. I just got excited when I figures out how to turn vector work into pixels and it worked suspiciously well. Everything has gone suspiciously well.
