My first ever mock up, and I could reeeally do with some help, mainly on the clouds. I'm going for a cartoony type of feel, but I just can't get it right. It'd be great if someone could redline or just post some cloud tutorials for me (:

I'd also like c&c on the rest of the piece, particulary on the damn balloon >_> And also on the health bar/profile type image.

[Ps. I know it's really plain right now. I'll be adding enemies and something to collect, but not until I'm finished with the sky.]

------------- See below if you actually care/feel like reading about the game. [not that I'll ever end up making it]

So I wanted to make a mock up for a game that just popped into my head the other day, basically these little guys I've created are called Mori's, and they can change color based on their surroundings, kinda like chameleons. The protagonist for the game is part of a tribe of Mori's called the Teeli tribe and he's pretty much been sent around the world to collect food for the tribe... because they're running low on it, not sure why yet :[ ANYWHO. Each 'stage/level' will have a different part of the world, and a different way of traveling around. [cars/boats/balloons/rhinos/trains/planes/skates]

I also wanted it to be a bit like Wario ware, with the millions of minigames and stages ^^

[yes I know the tribe/species names suck. might be changing them]

Well there's not much there and what is there is pretty okay. The purple and white broken lines of shading look like stray pixels though. I would be happy with those clouds.

First level of Cool Spot featured both ballons and clouds. But they used Deluxe Paint in making this game (original Genesis/SNES versions), which has smudge tool, so maybe here and there we see color reduction (therefore shortcut, not the way aimed at perfect result).
