I decided to enter this week's challenge. Here you go:

So, any improvements in mind?

Oh, and just in case IMG tags are down:

34 colors already: baaaaad.
Looks simplistic to me, but I admit I don't understand this challenge so well.
At least you might try to improve details: cloud shapes and disposition (they don't need that outline, but a 2nd color in the sky could be nice), details of ship and boss.

Make the final boss more scary and you need to use more dark toned colours.. right now it looks like the ship is two colours..

Can you give me an edit to show what you're talking about?

Oh, and other than the clouds, I'll do those later, how's this?

Sorry: worse...
The colors you cut were the useful ones: the ship has now even less detail.
The many oranges in the jets are the useless ones in my opinion, and if needed, the ship and boss greys might be the same (although anything more lively would be an improvement, too).
Now, you do plan to have more ships and stuff, I hope? So you should decide between cutting just 2 colors now and do the rest with those already there, or cut more and have new colors for new stuff.

Talking about detail: cutting 4 pixels from the boss hardly makes it more interesting. Sorry again.
