I am a Game creator. I use the program: Game Maker to make my games and my most successful (and still running) game is called: Goomba Online.
It has reached a top of 111 pages on the GMC (Game Maker Community) and its one of the forums most popular I believe.
The game I'm looking to make now though, is a topdown game. Heres the thing though, I have 2 ideas in my head, because I am still unclear of what game I want to make.
One idea is just an online co-op game for up to 4 people (Topdown) Another idea is a 2D remake of a very successful game called: Breath of Fire 3, which I think has one of the best storylines ever created.
Now, why should you sprite for me though? What makes you think the sprites will be used correctly? Will spriting be a waste of your time?
I currently have 1 spriter for Goomba Online and he has made pretty much the entire game (design-wise). Check out these screenshots: http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/2637/goimg.png
There is a ton more to the game than that but he has made everything practically (excluding outfits which most are made by the forums members or just Goomba players).
I guess what I'm trying to show here is that, I am not a quitter that just comes up with an idea for a game, goes a quarter through production, and then just quits, leaving all the sprites the spriter made worthless and a waste of time.
No, you won't be paid but you will be given pretty much a ton of credit in the game (most likely Co-Creator :D)
I have always wanted to make a topdown game but never really had the spriter to do it. I'd ask my current spriter but he will only do sprites for my Goomba Online game.
So if you do wish to make a (hopefully) successful and popular topdown game (which could be online, or the Breath of Fire 3 remake) please do respond positively.
