Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum! I'm trying to work my way back into
pixel land, as I've always loved it! I was a kid in the old Amiga days
and did some stuff back then for fun, but I wasn't really good enough
to do games work! Now I'm grown up, work as a 3d animator/character
modeler, and would like to give pixels another go! Please critique, comment, and use your right of free speech!  He has recently gone through updating, so to the left is the new and improved Piggy, and to the right the original version!  |

Maybe I'm not the type to give you criticism because that is way better than I could do. But here is what I think. Make the overalls more worn or put paint/mud splatters on there. Just a suggestion. Welcome to the forums anyway! |

That's acutally a cute piggy. I liked the old version better, with lower contrast, but perhaps you should make something in between... Hmm, like a tad more contrast on the skin (relative to the original) and don't over contrast the pants as in the new one. Perhaps also give the pants a bit o' a more rugged texture. I've updated Piggy! Made his pants less shiny and toned his backlight down slightly! Also colour adjusted him! |

Of course you could get his pants much more interesting if you did some hue shifting.. Going from blue into purple or green!

Yeah maybe I'll try some more colour correction, I just don't want to loose the happy colours, and it sometimes becomes a bit saturated or moody looking with blue/purple or especially blue/green. I want it to remain bright and fun in colours. But first I'm going to start doing a runcycle with fat little Piggy! |
