Rocks have no outline and are shaded, torches have outline and not shaded -> shade torches.

You can't really say anything about background until there would be some characters against it - how they will read and such. Now looks quite good.

I think this lighting option will be too difficult to accommodate for a mockup. I'd suggest to limit it to the near vicinity of the torches, which will give the atmosphere you're after, and have a general lighting elsewhere.

the differance in rock placement on the wall verus the lighted area makes it seem like the torches are in a niche. the your update fixed this a litle but it still looks kinda strange. i'd say: either make it a true niche and make that clear somehow or fix the rock placement

Agree with Dhr Bosch. Edit, using the actual stone placement:

Except in the closest points to the torch, light will be strongly lateral: only the side of stones turned towards the torch will be lit, and they will cast shadows on the jointing. Also, lighting is in proportion to distance squared. Meaning: it drops very quickly, even more than in my edit.
I don't like the colors I introduced in the jointings, they have to stand out against the rocks, but this greenish brown is ugly. What about http://www.andes.org.uk/andes-information-files/cuzco.jpg - not having jointings ?

thank for your comments guys, you are bringing up very good points.
but i made a big mistake from the begining - i didnt make tiles... which make it not game-ish, so it kinda loses the whole point
i like the idea of not having jointings...
expect an updated version tommorow
