Position Needed: Sprite Animator

Salary Information
Your compensation will depend entirely upon the game's commercial success. That is, if the game sells then we are prepared to offer you money compensation on top of a percentage of whatever royalties we make through XBLG. Basically, how much we make depends upon how much you make. If we don't make anything, then you don't make anything.

More details:

The visual style of our game is old-school 2D. It's similar to titles like Castlevania, Turrican, Metroid, Contra, etc., etc. Please see the screenshots and YouTube video posted below for an example of the type of sprites you will be working with.

You won't have to worry about designing the characters -- just animating our designs. How it works is, our lead artist designs a single sprite and you animate it. Now, the art doesn't have to be perfect, just so long as the animation is smooth. Our current enemies use anywhere from 4-12 animation frames. We're also using segmented animations for some (larger) enemies.

If you have any questions, please email brian_farina[at]hotmail.com.

Our main requirements is that you have a decent work ethic, a good sense of humor, and are easy to get along with. Being able to give and take constructive criticism is also a plus.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
The Parasitus Team
