He decided to join the super elite club of gallery deleters, we've had quite a few this year. End of story.

No he doesn't need to be banned
Hes a good pixelartist and would be a loss too

It was my own decision

I'm just thinking (just like alot of other pixelers) that there are many Pixelnazis here

More like elitists.  At least that's what I hear about this place a lot.

PJ just has a different set of rules than when it first opened. Plus everyone keeps forgetting this one important thing: NO ONE IS TELLING ANYONE TO STOP PIXELING THE WAY THEY PIXEL, only to stop submitting it here. :P

I don't agree 100% with all of PJ's rules, that's why my gallery doesn't get updated as often as it could be. Point and case... siggy below. Ok, not my best work, but you get the idea. XD

I don't think any of the mods are pixelnazis/elitists/whatever. The rules are what they are and it's their obligation to enforce them. I'm sure they don't all agree with all the rules (I don't), but they'll still send a piece back that violates them because it's one of their responsibilities, like it or not.

Some of our members may be elitists, but there's not much we can do about that. We can't ban people just because we don't like them. It drives me crazy to see one person--not a mod--comment that a piece has too many colors or whatever, and from that the artist decides that Pixeloint is full of nazis and, in an extreme case, leaves. Makes no sense.

I think the mods are great.  Fair, helpful and professional.  What else could one want?  I'm pretty sure most other members feel that way too.

Some others though, as far as the crits.  It's almost like monkey see, monkey do.  Here a few weeks and all of a sudden they become experts on color counts, etc.  when they don't even follow they're own advice a lot of the times.

Never said that the mods are pixelnazis.
They are my friends

And the case Hatch is talking about, is a part of the reason too, for me

I don't think the mods are pixelnazis, in fact http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/24925.htm - this is the only time I've ever had a negative interaction with a mod. That and the occasional Ens comment telling me to 'shut it' in his charming and elegant way. XD

I don't think it's the mods or the random elitist comment that's the problem. I've said it a million times before and I'm going to say it a million more: PJ needs to sit down as a community and refine it's rules as to what is and is not allowed.

Let's say that PJ only has 100 members, and 99 out of those 100 members draw oekaki. Yet PJ's rules clearly state "no oekaki". There comes a point when it's time to bend or break.

Clearly there's enough people on PJ, people who are an active part of the site, that are upset about the rules in general. Isn't it time we held a town meeting of sorts and reorganize before more respected members of the community pack up their sh*t, delete their galleries, and move out?
