i already searched through the forum or looked at other pixyelart, but unfortunately i couldnt find what i am looking for. thats why i decided to simply ask this probably noobish question.

i want to do some rust on a metal-surface
 (like this one  )
but evrything i am trying doesnt look like real rust.
i mean the red-orange-shining rust that destroys the objekt a little bit.

maybe anyone could help me with some tipps on how to do real-looking rust, or maybe there is some tutorial on that ( didnt find one =/ )

so long
hoping for help
silw

Rust looks best on lighter surfaces than you have there, between seams and around bolts and things. Tutorials don't need to be exclusively pixel art for you to learn from them, look at references and copy how it looks :)

Studying this should give you insight on how you can do some rust of your own. :)
