Greetings, I represent an indie game development team currently developing for the iPhone/iPod touch; we're a virtual team collaborating via the 'net, most of us having never met in person... but we're not a virgin team - we've all developed successful games in the past (such as my own http://shivering-kittens.sealfin.com/ - shivering kittens {that link is to a video}), albeit games of less ambition than our current project.
Our current project - approximately 50% code complete - is a platformer best described as being "darkly cute"; featuring a cast of anthropomorphic animals - think more Skaven and less Mickey Mouse - the game takes place in a world created to be a dream, now invaded and plunged into nightmare.
We're looking for a spite/pixel artist for that project, who will be responsible for creating the player character, the enemy characters, and a few projectiles/particles; whilst we have detailed descriptions of- and backstory to- the characters, we welcome the artist bringing their imagination to the project and to the realisation of the characters.
If you might be interested in collaborating with us, please email <recruitment@sealfin.com> with a link to your portfolio and your expected rate of pay - we're offering payment, not some mythical "profit sharing" after the release of the game, and we're willing to pay per-character - and we'll provide you with more information.
Thank you for your time!
