Looking for talented Pixel Artists
Hellbent Games is looking for a few passionate pixel artists for a new project! Specifically we are looking for artists with the ability to animate characters and paint backgrounds for a AAA Nintendo DS title. Previously we created the hit title LEGO Battles for the NDS.
We are located in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada and would prefer someone who is able to work onsite. Being Canadian or having status to work in Canada is a major advantage! We are willing to help a talented artist relocate! We will consider contracting the work long distance if necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience creating sprite characters performing multiple animations (walking, jumping, fighting etc.)
- Tiled backgrounds/Maps
- Solid skills in major art packages (Promotion/Photoshop etc.)
- A background in drawing/illustration and animation
- Good people person and great at working with a team
- Passionate about video games
Bonus Skills:
- Previous shipped titles demonstrating pixel art
- Nintendo DS experience
- Pixel optimization skills (working in 16 color palette constraints and limited animation frames etc.)
Self taught candidates that can demonstrate they have the skills are great!
This is a fulltime contract position for approx 1 year in length. We offer competitive rates and a cool work environment.
