I am working on two games at present and am in need of a pixel artist for both. One is a PopCap style game where the player mixes magical potions. My need here is for someone to create the items that go in the potions. The other game is a large scale RPG with characters, monsters, spell effects, items everything you would expect.
I want to hire an artist for both of these games to give them the nessisary visual link as they are both set in the same world. Having never hired an artist before I don't know what to offer. Let me know what you think would be a fair price for the work. You can email me josh dot mannon at gmail or you can send me a DM. This is not a job offer yet as I am still in the process of designing both of these games I am just trying to set the budget for these games. Thanks for the input!

I get paid by the sprite work done, and my price is cheap. If you wanna know about how it goes as far as getting paid by the hour, I suggest you browse around other portfolios. The best thing you can do is just negotiate a price with whoever you wanna work with... that's why you first go check the portfolios, and then ask them directly.
