well i consider this as my second favorite although i love it andwhat is on the spear it looks gross but considerably nice :)
This is my favourite pixelation on Pixeljoint. I like how the legs look [legs... yes. <_<; ], the background and everything look amazing. And with such a low color count. O_o
This has encouraged me to improve my pixel art abilities. Huzzah.
You dislike the butts because of personal preference. Your sex is irrelevant. :)
This not true, this is not true! I am just imaging it, there is no such perfect pixelwork, it is just an imagination...
Superb.
Wow, thanks for so much feedback... The poses are original. I mostly used a mirror for reference, but I also looked at a bunch of photos (tried to visualize them in my poses). The lighting throughout the piece probably doesn't make much sense, especially on the characters.
I started this piece and November, and worked on it intermittently since then (maybe a few hours a week).
I tried to avoid traditional dithering as I find it provides unwanted texture.
In case there's any confusion, the green fern on the right is growing on the rocks there. The pale green bit in the background is another tree (attempted atmoshperic perspective).
As far as the process goes, I took a big brush and blocked in the basic composition, building up the depth. I really wish I would've periodically saved WIPs for this one, so I could have a progress animation. Oh well.
First let me say that this piece is amazing; the coloring style reminds me of the backgrounds in old SNES games. One tihng id be concerned about is that the preview image really doesnt show the work off, i clicked it out of boredom (and was pleasantly suprised by this very well-done piece)
Ork = monstrous race of Scandinavian origin, something between a werewolf and the undead with horns that stands quite a bit taller than most men.
Orc = Tolkien's reworking of the traditional monster, with the spelling of the name altered to share the same letters as the Oxford Rugby Club, which he considered a mass of ungly, ruinous brutes.
Once again, just had to pop in and give these a better look....nope, even better looking than before. The Female characters look so real though. I'm actually finding it hard to believe that you drew the women from scratch though. Did you use reference poses, or pics to help out, or was this seriously just straight from your head?
And by the way, I'm not trying start anything, cause this is absolutely stupendous. I just would like to know how this thing was made, seeing as how it completely dominates your past works into an oblivian. It would be nice to know how one gets this far...great job anyhow...
