In April 2019 Binging With Babish surpassed 4 million subscribers and the Ace Attorney Trilogy was released on Steam. I started this crossover with the idea of a Babish tribute, but learning the Steam release was happening within the same timeframe was a happy accident. "Babish" had already done a couple videos on ramen and dozens on hamburgers [along with videos on game-related food], so I tried to look for deep cuts in the AA series for interesting recipes, such as the bonus case from the AA1 DS port.
