Ah yes, the 3 colors is because on this site transparency counts as a color, so: black + white + transparent = 3.

Yes I do recommend checking out the Proteus effect it's interesting!

Great piece. I now want to find out what the Proteus Effect is by the way. But your description says you used three colours, which I feel is a bit odd. Any comment?
