I did this piece this morning for a person on the GMC who asked for a 'sinister ape. Was good practice for me I think. And I've never had a reason to draw an ape before. A friend just told me it looks a bit like the apes in the music video for 'Clint Eastwood' by Gorillaz. Figured I'd post it here since I ain't had much to contribute to this forum lately. It's pretty much finished and while there are a couple of slight niggles I find, I'm done with it.

Really awesome work, and i love the fact that there is no complex shading, so this way it looks very cartoonish..

That Ape sure would cream DK in an 1 on 1 fight ;) The color-shades are very well selected, and the overall look and feel add the rest to the 'evil gorilla" look. Would love to see him animated!
