Awesome lighting.

user
SpaceSalmon (Level 1 Rookie) @ 11/14/2009 23:50

The lightning was pretty cool, I think.

user
sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) @ 11/14/2009 16:47

that's ok im not even sure it looks better that way.

user
Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) @ 11/14/2009 10:47

Better!

user
mambazo (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 11/14/2009 10:40

Rules of the competition doesn't allow it, i think.

user
sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) @ 11/13/2009 21:50

theres that golden ratio thing for composition i was wondering if u thought it looked better shifter 8 pixels to the right and two up? looks good anyway, just noticed preview looks better than big picture.

Clovvach (Level 3 Enforcer) @ 11/13/2009 16:39

 I know who I'm voting for. ;)

user
vampireslug (Level 5 Detective) @ 11/13/2009 09:18

I love the fabric-like folds and creases of the skin... masterful!

user
Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) @ 11/12/2009 14:05

Great light and colors!

Except the shadows on the ground next to the wall...

user
DawnBringer (Level 10 Maniac) @ 11/11/2009 13:01

@mambazo: They all look good...but if I it was up to me I'd pick a shadow-color somewhere between those two (The new shadow is a wee-bit bright and the re-use purple is a quite dark).

Anyhoo...it's still early in the challenge...but I'm pretty sure you'll get a vote of mine!  (since I probably won't enter ;) )

Love it on the Wip forum, love it even more now that it's done. Great job!

user
asukicco (Level 9 Necrophiliac) @ 11/11/2009 10:41

Woah wonderful! This was also pretty fast!

user
dpixel (Level 9 Vice President) @ 11/11/2009 10:20

I think it's perfect the way it is now.

user
Manjaman (Level 8 Cannibal) @ 11/11/2009 10:19

The shading on the monster is globally nice, but there are some areas on the floor which suffer from the dither. You really should add a little brightness to the blue part of the beak !

Your atmosphere is wonderfully gloomy there ! Well done !

user
susuwataris (Level 6 Yonkyu) @ 11/11/2009 09:48

sooo cool!

user
mambazo (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 11/11/2009 09:20

Thanks :)

Do you think its too late to change the shadow colour? I'd have to add a new colour to the palette to do it, I think.

 [EDIT]

Version with new colour:-

And one reusing the darkest Purple:-

 (I like this one)

user
DawnBringer (Level 10 Maniac) @ 11/11/2009 09:10

Good work, this looks super! However...a blue light casts a red shadow.

RollerKingdom (Level 7 Mass Murderer) @ 11/11/2009 08:44
