Finally! After countless hours this pic is complete! It was a great exercise on shading various elements like clouds etc. but, hell, I'm not touching anything that big for quite a while!

Dio Weaver (Level 1 White Belt) @ 4/8/2006 16:25

It looks like a very strange god...

It seems like a mix of technology, godish figure, bio engineered creature, and something more...

its amazing in more than one way...I applaud you. I appluad you indeed.

Setzer (Level 8 Cannibal) @ 2/16/2006 19:23

That's such a awesome piece of work!! Love every single detail. The shading and dithering is so well done! Love the colors and the billions of small details. That's simply breathtaking!!

Great job!! *faints*

THE KAPPTIN (Level 5 Captain) @ 12/19/2005 18:33

This is utterly AWESOME.

Parasight (Level 1 Jukyu) @ 11/1/2005 04:45
Well ... one AWESOME piece of work!!

-DE- (Level 11 General) @ 9/12/2005 09:52
I made this in iDraw (not that well-known pixelart prog, but the only one with more tools than Paint, and less than GG).
I am aware that my pics are too busy, and yes, I'll be trying to eliminate this in my future works.

neota (Level 8 Shodan) @ 9/12/2005 09:33
You have my amazement and my respect. It would be difficult finding a game that is worthy of such a picture.

If you did this in ProMotion or DPaint, good. if you did it in something else, you either have a similar level of technological inventiveness, or you are just super-ultra-well-mentally-coordinated.

My only crit has been mentioned; it is too busy. half as many highlights, half as many objects, and it would be way more viewable.

HawkTheSlayer (Level 4 Button Man) @ 8/28/2005 22:04

The mood, the pose, the costumes and the sheer talent in this piece is absolutely fantastic and no matter what anyone says on this site, you got yourself a daily deviation at DA, so that says it all and more and shall make my meer favourite seem insignificant!!!

The B.O.B. (Level 11 Master Assassin) @ 8/28/2005 20:44

Quick, we need a nurse stat...That giant snowy mountain is giving birth to a large apocolyptic-man-baby....Oh the humanity!!!

Nah, but seriously, it is very (prepare for early 90's lingo in 3...2...1..)..."Rad."...Yeah, you really outdid yourself here guy. Its good. In fact its too good. So good that I'm now going to have to kill you to restore the balance to this world of starving artists whom you are sucking the energy out of this very moment...take me for instance...I'm supposed to be writing a hand written report for College, but I'm brainwashed to watch this filthy masterpiece of yours...

This post has been officially worthless...thank you for your time...

oh...and good job...

Peppermint Pig (Level 1 Rookie) @ 8/26/2005 11:05
Has a really retro feel to it, with the absense of pure white in the palette. It's pretty good for the number of colors you limited yourself to. Don't like some of the purple backlighting details, mainly because of the horizontal and vertical streaks, but that seems to be consistent with how you deal with lighting flares and sparkle. The color choices are nice; good use of red and blue to purple on the shoulder material. I had no problem discerning the various portions of the piece as Blick suggests was an issue, though it is a very busy piece. Good job contouring lighting on the rocky looking skirt.. Could only see a few minor detail issues, but such words are more appropriate in critique of a WIP. In all, very well done, this is an excellent piece and worthy of study for the patience it took to design and pixel!

me7356 (Level 4 Murderer) @ 8/26/2005 09:41
The anti-aliasing and dithering are awesome, even if I can't make any sense of what this picture is all about. It's a definite favorite.

grymzy (Level 1 White Belt) @ 8/26/2005 07:10
This picture shows how skilled you are, but there's something about it that I don't like.

OMGFossil (Level 6 Yonkyu) @ 8/25/2005 05:12
You're winner, plain and simple

Niss (Level 4 Deputy) @ 8/25/2005 04:19
I humbly bow before this! Excellent shading and sweet SWEET textures!
As for the composition: Your arrangement and perspective always reminds me of some medieval picture where they didn't have developed the knowledge about right perspective but rather made big what they considered most important and small what was just there for the flavor (like jesus big and the peasants small). Such a perspective (of content) resulted in a very strange looking composition most often...
Oh well :)

Saboteur (Level 4 Shichikyu) @ 8/24/2005 22:41

I'm in with blick on this one. Way too much going on...

The depths are all wonky, it's hard (in places) to figure out what's how far behind what. Err... hard to figure out... nevermind.

Masterful texturing, shading, and look, just I'm not the biggest fan of your personal style.

Faktablad (Level 6 SWAT) @ 8/24/2005 17:45

Astounding.  I would never have the patience for something like this.

DeathByChris (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 8/24/2005 08:27
the lighting is just superb, this is a great illustration.

micecreations (Level 2 Hired Gun) @ 8/24/2005 01:01
WAOUH ! Very beautiful : You're the Salvdor Dali of Pixel Art ! Everything is incredible : colors, shades, ... one of most beautiful work of world ! ^_^

So-lou (Level 1 Rookie) @ 8/24/2005 00:46
This is so awesome. The shapes and textures and bright colours clashing - I love it. You have so much talent with blending colours and anti-aliasing. The moon and sea is peeerfect. Great work!

zilben (Level 1 Black Rhino) @ 8/23/2005 22:34
THIS IS OFF THE HOOK! dang, exellent job you did here. That's some exeptional texturing that makes a badass unique chaotic scene. Its true that it is alot goin on in one picture, but thats the worh of this abstract piece. Great clouds, tech wires, ice shards, melting rock, sandy terrain, hell.... thas alot of great things in herei...  CRAZE not to care for such quality

Blick (Level 7 Captain) @ 8/23/2005 19:29
I think it's really good on a technical level, but just too much happening for me to care for it much. It gets hard to differentiate parts of the picture in some areas and looks like nothing more than a block of colors to me. Then again, my eyesight has never been a thing to brag about.

Zoomrix (Level 1 Intern) @ 8/23/2005 18:26
Sweet abstract-ish piece! Loving the style of that shading. This one is definately going to be in my favorites! Great job.

Badassbill (Level 11 Big Foot) @ 8/23/2005 16:30
Truly amazing.

Rifts (Level 2 Corporal) @ 8/23/2005 16:29

Shark (Level 1 Jukyu) @ 8/23/2005 15:59
i love how every part blends together to form a united image

Shay A. (Level 1 Thug) @ 8/23/2005 15:36

O WOW!!!

simply put...GORGEOUS! 5 outta 5

sedgemonkey (Level 11 Coelacanth) @ 8/23/2005 15:11
This is really one heck of an effort. Your diverse variety of shading techniques is really apparent with all the different textures. Great job!
