Summer is right around the corner for those in the Southern Hemisphere. Therefore, challenge winner Adarias challenges you to create a PSP mockup for a beach party game featuring ROBOTS!

Oh yeah, you know what I'm talking about...all those bronze beauties rubbing oil on each other, letting off some of the year's steam and kicking it into neutral for a while, recharging their batteries and going wild on pure ethanol. Yup, it's robots on the beach!

Canvas Size - Exactly 240 x 136.
Colors - Unrestricted.
Transparency - No.
Animation - Optional.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

Since a few weeks ago, I (Lollige) am trying to run a pixel art blog featuring news, tutorials, inspiring and interesting articles about my beliefs and asking for discussion! Come and have a visit at MrLollige.com!

Most interesting articles online so far: Pixel art software, coloring linearts and how to fix firefox. Coming soon: An interview with artist ThereIsNoCure and an article about realism in pixel art.

Comments on articles motivate me to continue writing, and I am always willing to hear opinions on subjects!

Bit Fortress is a new shmup created by me. With a new take on retro arcade/simplistic graphics, Bit fortress brings oldschool shmup action to modern hardware. The demo features 3 full levels and bosses, along with a full ranking system, not to mention original neo-chiptune music by me!

The roguelike Dwarf Fortress has been given a pixel make-over in the form of Stonesense, a third-party visualiser for the game which is currently in its third alpha release. Stonesense takes the original ASCII-based graphics and converts them into isometric visuals.

The open source mod is being developed by "Jonask" and "Solifuge" with graphics currently being created by members of the Dwarf Fortress community. Check out the official thread here.

Also, head over to TIGSource for more info, a screenshot and a video of Stonesense in action.

The month of Movember is now upon us, therefore we want you to make a portrait of an original character with a moustache (no real life people or existing characters).

Your character does not have to be male (or human!); you may decide to create a moustachioed miss or even a martian monster with a monstrous martian moustache if you so wish.

Canvas Size - Max 100 x 100.
Colours - Max 16.
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - Optional.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
