Just finished the Playstation 2 game "Ico" last night. The puzzles are fairly simple, but the beautiful sets, sweet story, flawless character animations and eerie sounds make the game well worth dropping 15 to 20 bucks at your local video game supplier.

0 Patrick Ewing, Patrick (SpongeBob SquarePants), Oscar the Grouch, the Pink Panther, Optimus Prime (Transformers), Odie (Garfield), Penguin (Batman) and a human and an orc from Warcraft added.
The gallery now stands at 495 icons. Another five and we've got a nice round number.

0 I've been burning through the complete "Freaks and Geeks" TV series on DVD the last couple of weeks. It sure captures high school in all its painful glory. How did this show get cancelled after just a single season? This show feels so real and yet it's so damn funny. That Judd Apatow is a freakin' genius.
I really dig shows that spend time casting the right actors/actresses even if they might not fit the Hollywood look. Just look at all those funny BBC shows - they're chock full of fugly talent.

1 Zeus, Martin Luther King Jr., Mardi Gras dancer, Megatron (Transformers), Christopher Columbus, a Musketeer, a Hippie, M Bison (Street Fighter), Master Chief (Halo), a Mexican mariachi, a postal worker, Moon Knight, Moe (Three Stooges) and a few others.
One bizzaro one that slipped in was Principal Joe Clark (Morgan Freeman) from that movie Lean on Me... it was on while I was doodling and it seemed like a good idea for an icon. Them's some good instincts eh?

1 Although I've only seen one film ("ah, l'amour") I'm totally entranced by the
Bitter Films web site. If you've ever had any interest in animation (especially 2-D animation) you gotta read the production journal - it's amazing/scary/unsettling.
According to the FAQ on the site they are planning a 2005 release for a DVD collection. I'm waiting with bells on.

0 Saw "Shrek 2" the other night. Inspired me to get cracking on a few Shrek icons.
"Shrek 2" really seems like an adult cartoon (not that kind of adult cartoon... perv) with a few slapstick gags thrown in here and there for the kiddies. The computer generated scenery is spectacular, the story is clever and that donkey is funny as hell.

0 Added several cartoon characters from King of the Hill (Kahn, Kahn Jr. Minh, Didi Hill, Nancy Hicks Gribble, Joseph Gribble, John Redcorn), Larry from the Three Stooges, Leela from Futurama, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a Laker girl, Jon Arbuckle and a few others.
