Yes, the time has come, catching many of us off-guard.  So for all the procrastinators and those whose schedules just got hectic (I fall into both categories), submissions are due September 30th.  Which may very well be today, depending on your timezone.  So if you'd like to enter the show, please send your submission(s) to thereaintnocure@hotmail.com or pm them to me either here or at pixelation.  I can't promise late entries will be accepted, so send your entries as soon as possible.
Thanks to all who entered, winners and photos from the opening will be posted sometime in October.

Haiku poems require the precise and thoughtful picking of each word, making sure that each is carefully placed to give the desired effect. In this way haiku are similar to pixel art. Therefore skamocore challenges you to pixel a scene based off one of the haiku from the list provided below.

Colours: 17 max
Canvas Size: exactly 50(height) x 70(length)
Transparency: No
Animation: No

Haiku to choose from:
• 1. An old pond!
A frog jumps in-
The sound of water.

• 2. No one travels
Along this way but I,
This autumn evening.

• 3. Clouds appear
and bring to men a chance to rest
from looking at the moon.
(by Matsuo Basho)

• 4. A mountain village
under the pilled-up snow
the sound of water.

• 5. A lightning flash:
between the forest trees
I have seen water.
(by Masaoka Shiki)

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

Handy pixelgrapher zi-double challenges you to pixel a historical memorial or monument from your town or country. No more than that, either - just the monument, no surrounding scene. It has to be a structure that only serves as a monument - so, for example, no churches turned monument. Make sure you post a reference link in the description so that your entry can be compared to the real thing.
Isometric work is encouraged but not required.

Colours: 32 Max
Canvas size: 200 x 200 Max
Transparency: Yes
Animation: No
Reference link required!

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
