Heh, a few months ago I wanted to submit some news about SNK Playmore launching a site about the "Dot Art" in King of Fighters XII; no good since the site was in Japanese I'm afraid. But lo and behold, now it's in English!

SNK's artist are some of the most talented pixel pushers in the gaming industry when it comes to their games, so it's great to take a look at these awesome High Def sprites. Not only that, but when people browse the site, they can view some of the basic animations FRAME by FRAME.

I think it's neat personally. :P The site also has a nice little page devoted to "dot art" and the crazy process of creating the graphics for the game.

And what does that mean? It means no blurry pixels when images get resized!

FireFox 3.5 had the unfortunate side-effect of blurrying images when they got resized (and this ruined the pixelly-goodness). 3.6 FINALLY fixes this problem.

I think it's safe to assume Pixel Joint loves pixels and old-school games; Lowrez.de has some awesome shirts that pertain to just that! And right now, there's a promotional offer for the month of May for free shipping to the US and Canada.

Alex Varanese has made a short video that's essentially stop-motion pixel art! If you like shooters such as R-Type (one of the games Varanese said inspired this), then you'll totally dig this.
