Thank you for the feedback! The darker colours were my attempt at shading the outline a bit. You are right that from a distance you can hardly see de difference. Next time i'll make them brighter.

I think the reason for the animation looking clunky is that he doesn't bend the legs far enough. The front legs stop straight down instead of going back further. Look at a picture of a dog running and I think you'll see what I mean.
