you will find some of the colours used only for few pixels, which wouldn't be a problem if those were something important, that needs a separate colour (like eyes for example) but they are just randomly all over the place. They are redundant, because you have almost identical colours in other places. Please clean them up and and you will be ready to go. If you have problems with that, let us know.

I love this. A true master can give give an expression to a character who doesn't even have a face.

I always preferred MacGyver over the A-team, but this pixel art is fantastic!

I accept it because it is not a big of a deal in this case but please watch out for palette control in the future. A piece like that looks like made with 16 palette max.

It is a beautiful painting, unfortunately, PJ is a very narrow oriented traditional pixel art gallery and we cannot accept it. It has 1997 colours. Maybe if you could take it down to less than 300 I could accept it conditionally, and ask you to submit only restricted palette pieces in the future. I believe reducing the palette could kill the core of this amazing artwork so if that doesn't work the only thing I can say is to move this piece to other online galleries like Lospec which stores not only traditional but also modern and enchanted pixel artworks. It breaks my heart because I really love this piece. Maybe you have more works to share which are less controversial for PJ rules.

The using of transparent layers as a tool is not the problem. Rather how you use it, for what and how you control the result. If you use them, for example, as a shortcut technique to make things that are achievable by hand much faster, than sure. Otherwise we would have to forbid use of bucket tool and accept only single pixel pencil placement :) But if you stack many add semi transparent layers so you get an astronomical amount of colours you have no control over, than no it would not be the old PJ way. However if you can for example index the palette after such practice, and regain control over it, than the process of how you got there interests no one. The final result is what always matters the most. 

It is still there. Remember you need to change the name of the file. If you try to swap the files of the same name PJ will ignore it and keep the previous one.

That is cute and nicely pixelled. Please watch out for the colour count next time. Your piece currently has 63 colours, which is a bit too much. Control your palette and unify similar colours. You can even try reducing the colour count on this piece as a practice.

Of I love it, and I love classic follout games. I would be pleased to have this in the PJ gallery, but unfortunately PJ does not collect artworks with blur effects. Would you be able to get to the file with a vanilla pixel art only? You are allowed to add the link to an enchanted pixel art in your description (if you store it somewhere else, for example Lospec or other online galleries with less specialization). This way we woudl be happy to have your wonderful animation here, and you would still present your artwork in your desired full glory to PJ users.

Unfortunately this file cannot be accepted in the gallery. I has over 6000 colours but looks like made with 8 colour palette or close to it.

Brilliant use of 4 colours!

It is beautiful. It breaks my pixel heart but I cannot accept it in the challenge. Derogations from the rules are small but they add up and become too much to be fair to others who followed them completely.

Your pixel art would look exactly the same if you unify half of its colours. Many of them are almost indistinguishable, and they are redundant. You should use proper colour recycling techniques, and you are here for years so you already know the rules. Being stubborn will get you nowhere, we are tired of your disrespectful behavior. 

We have many reasons to reject your piece. One of them is that this is a 20 year old pixel art gallery with traditional pixel art rules. We know that modern pixel art moved far beyond that and we love all of it. We use many other, less restricted pixel approaches daily, in our work and personal projects. However, we are continuously deciding to value the history left for us to maintain, and keep the Pixel Joint as a consistent gallery. If you cannot respect that you can successfully move to many other online galleries, which do not have a legacy to uphold and are open for all moder pixel art experimentation or all other digital art. If you do not care about what PJ is representing, than probably you won't find satisfaction here. 

You have 3 options to move forward.

1) Edit your piece by reducing the colour count, as any other beginner or advanced pixel artist would do in such situation.
2) Ignore this piece and stay on PJ but upload only pieces that are suitable for the gallery.
3) Continue to force your way through either by obnoxiously reuploading the same file over and over again, or by trying to "convince" mods to abandon their obligation to follow the rules in your special case - which will only result in your account being banned.
