Thanks  With time I think to much dithering. I have good memories from when I was working on this concept. I was thinking about the intrigues… In the mansion there’s a monster that takes the form of the chandelier, and at night it appears… along with some quirky characters… ^^ 

Yes, exactly having a vertical slice and a finished game is definitely the goal at some point.

Seeing your character with the hat and the rats really makes me think of a world between the middle ages and the industrial era , I could imagine concept art in a style like this:
