I also appreciate the critique and I must say that I agree with everything you said. So just to clarify - the trees should have shadows below their crowns, however I created 4 types of the tree sprites for each season, and in the winter they did not have any leaves, so I left the shadows out and just used the bare trunk and branches. I know that it is kind of lazy, and I know that there is a more elegant solution to this, but I am still learning. :)

Great tree! I would mix the colours a bit in a leafy pattern. It is a bit of extra work, but I like to do it. :)

Your choices of colours is spot on, btw! Really pretty!

You could do an Autumn variant of the sprite, maybe? :)
